While wandering around in Walgreens (on Thanksgiving…it was the only store open besides Starbucks), I picked out a few beauty goodies to play with. One of the beauty goodies was a facial primer by Revlon – I had run out of my old standby primer and thought I would give it a shot.
I’ve been using the primer religiously for almost a month, and I think it’s pretty fabulous.
Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer (0.9 oz / $13.99)
Now, I should probably note that my skin is on the drier side. I know a lot of people have oily skin and have a hard time finding a good primer. This one is mattifying, so it’s worth a try if you have oily tendencies.
What I look for in a primer is:
- Needs to go on smooth
- Can’t be sticky
- No drying time
- My foundation needs to easily smooth over it
- My skin should look flawless after application of face makeup
- My makeup needs to last all day long
This primer fits all of my criteria, which is impressive for a drugstore product. I’ll keep this one in my beauty arsenal for a while.
I apply it with my fingers and follow up with my liquid foundation (I have several that I use depending on the day), using my BeauyBlender.
For $13.99 it’s worth a try for those that are primer virgins to those that are loyal to a specific priming product. I love finding affordable beauty products that work!
