Powdered Peanut Butter – You Must Try!

I’m in my smoothie phase again.

Every other month or so, I go on a smoothie making kick. Well, more like protein shakes. I’m either too lazy to make eggs in the morning, or I’m just really sick of making eggs; usually the latter.

I’ve walked past the PB2 at my local co-op many times.  One day it finally made it into my shopping basket. What the hell, why not? I like peanut butter, however it does pack a fattening punch. The powdered version offers 85% less fat. So, what’s to lose besides fat?


PB2 reduces fat through a chemical-free process. Like all Bell Plantation products, PB2 and Chocolate PB2 are all natural, preservative free, and contain no artificial sweeteners.

You guys, it’s good. It’s really, really good. My reason for getting it was to throw in my shakes, but you can add water and turn it into creamy peanut butter and it’s also good for baking. Here are some yummy recipes.

My shakes are simple; PB2, Greek yogurt (full fat), coconut milk, half a banana, a scoop of protein powder and a few ice cubes. Blend up and drink up. Go for the chocolate PB2 if you need a little chocolate craving fix. So good.

You can find PB2 at most health food stores. I picked mine up at Lakewinds Co-op, but have seen it at Whole Foods and GNC.
