Since I ran out of my favorite liquid foundation (Nars Sheer Glow Foundation), I took the opportunity to try a few other lightweight options. I’m kind of over the BB creams, and have yet to find a good CC cream (Chanel didn’t cut it).
So, I started making my way through some tinted moisturizers. I found two that I would definitely purchase again.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 ($43 for 1.5oz)
If you don’t like or need something with a lot of coverage, this is a great option. It goes on as a moisturizer, but has just enough of a hint of color to even out your skin. It has the sun protection you need (although, I do wish it had a higher SPF) and leaves your skin with a dewy, healthy glow. I feel like it stays put all day and gives the perfect amount of moisture for normal skin. If you have flaws to hide, throw concealer on over it and you’re good to go. This moisturizer comes in many shades for all skin tones. Get yours at Sephora.
This a unique tinted moisturizer that matches all skin tones. It comes in only one color, but blends right into your skin. With an SPF of 45, you have the perfect amount of protection. It’s packed full of anti-aging properties, so it’s not just a moisturizer. Again, I feel like this product leaves your skin with just enough moisturizer and gives a long-lasting healthy glow. It also comes in a matte finish that helps reduce the appearance of pores. Get yours online or I picked mine up at Transcend Medi Spa.
Both are comparable in price and moisture level. I do feel like the Revision product has a bit more to offer with the higher SPF and the anti-aging properties. However, it does have a little less coverage. So, pick your battle to fight. It’s pretty much a tie for me.
