Last night my hubs and I had date night on the racquetball court at Lifetime Fitness. After the sweatfest we were desperately seeking sushi – okay, I was desperately seeking sushi. The closest place was Kona Grill, so off we went. Unfortunately, they were crazy busy, apparently everyone had the same idea as we did.
Well, it was time to check out the new little sushi place that just opened in Chanhassen (my stomping grounds) – Kai’s Sushi & Grill.
I wasn’t sure what we were about to embark on when walked into the strip mall restaurant. It was busy, but we scored the last available table. The decor is red and black with a Chinese feel. It’s on the casual side, which was perfect since we just came from the gym.
The menu is extensive. They offer a variety of sushi and sashimi choices along with hibachi grill specialties. We ordered a variety of rolls and LOVED all of them. My husband even said it was the best sushi he has ever had – yes, it was that good.
Note : the owner has an impressive restaurant background with his latest being at Tao Restaurant in Las Vegas. You will be in good hands with his delicious creations.

I HIGHLY recommend paying them a visit. In fact, I might go back tomorrow for some take out.
