On Friday, I visited Bella Faccia in Edina for a facial. Bella Faccia is an Italian phrase that means “beautiful face”. How perfect.
As, I said in my last post, this facial was more of a restorative treatment. It was an amazing service that was not only relaxing, it was results driven.
Angie was my facial guru. We chatted a bit before my appointment – I asked her what she had in mind for my face. She couldn’t tell me what I would be getting myself into until she examined my skin. Now, that’s what a great esthetician does. I signed up for the “Welcome Facial”, which is an hour facial that is completely customized.
Once I arrived for my appointment, Angie looked at my skin and decided it would be best for me to have a bit ofr micodermabrasion and a lactic acid peel. The microdermabrasion gently removes the dead skin cells from the face, while the lactic acid peel would brighten my sun damaged and dry skin. The combination of the two made my skin softer, smoother and more radiant.
Angie also has a great skincare blog called Skin Deep. Check it out for great tips, info, and do it yourself beauty.
