I use my husband’s shower gel. Okay, I just used it a couple times this week after discovering it in the shower.
For years I worked in retail beauty and acquired enough bars of soap to last a lifetime (L’Occitane – truly the best bar soap). Yet, my husband insists on buying bricks of Zest from Costco and good old Gillette shower gel. I stopped buying him the good stuff because he really doesn’t care about the all important ingredient – Shea Butter – that was harvested by a group of hardworking women in Burkino Faso Africa.
When he gets out of the shower, I c.a.n’.t stop myself from smelling him (not quite Axe commerical, but close). It’s a clean fragrance that lasts for hours. Since he travels so often, it’s nice to have his scent around when he isn’t. It just might be stripping my skin of all of the natural oils, but is smells like my husband, and I like it.
Okay, that was my embarrassing confession of the day.
Let me balance it with my favorite go-to shower product for fall / winter. L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil.
