I had an awesome Fourth of July and I hope you did too. Maybe I even saw a few of you out on the lake. Where else would you be when it is 100 degrees out – unless you were keeping cool indoors. My entire day was spend outdoors. I started out with a little paddleboarding action out on Lake Minnetonka. My sister, husband and I braved the busy lake – we had no problems dodging the boaters. Actually, it was pretty relaxing and peaceful in the bay areas. We rented the paddleboards from Tonka Trolley’s in Excelsior, conveniently they sell Sebastion Joe’s ice cream, which is a great treat afterward. We skipped the ice cream and headed to Maynard’s to treat ourselves to some margaritas and mojitos. I suggest the pomegranate mojito – super delish. We met a few more peeps for apps, lunch and cocktails, then it was time to take the boat out on the lake. We docked out at the Big Island, along with everyone else on the lake. This is the point where my phone went for a swim. Argh. When we couldn’t take the heat anymore we all headed to my house for an impromptu barbecue. When everyone went out to watch fireworks from the deck, I went to bed. Lame? Maybe. I hope you all had a great Fourth as well!
Tomorrow is Friday! Woooo! I am looking forward to hanging out with my girlfriend on Saturday. We will be getting beautified at Blowdry! and doing dinner in Uptown. Fun. I really don’t have a lot to do this weekend, it’s refreshing. You can find me at the Lifetime Athletic pool chillin’.
Looking for something to do in the cities this weekend? The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, if you haven’t tried paddleboarding – go for it.
