Not afraid to sweat? Then, get your butt to CorePower Yoga.
I’ve been a CorePower junkie for about four years now. I absolutely freaking love that place.
Okay, I know a lot of my readers already belong to CPY, but for those that you that don’t – you need to go. Well, you need to go unless you are afraid to sweat, because you’re gonna sweat a lot.
You don’t have to be an experienced yogi, you don’t have to be flexible, and you don’t need coordination (Zumba, anyone?).
Here’s the class lineup that CorePower can offer you (something for everyone):
CorePower Yoga 1 – Intro to CPY (C1)
Ideal for anyone new to yoga and interested in its benefits, this beginner level CorePower Yoga sequence will help you build strength, increase flexibility, and find focus. CorePower Yoga is a challenging and dynamic Vinyasa series, meaning breath is linked to movement. This Level 1 (C1) class is practiced in a warm (room temperature) studio, moderately paced so you will learn the fundamental CorePower Yoga postures and principles that create a successful and effective yoga practice. Set to music, this class will invigorate your entire body.
CorePower Yoga 1.5 – Intro to Heated Power Yoga (C1.5)
CorePower Yoga 1.5 is a class designed to support your transition. Practiced in a heated, climate-controlled room, a C1.5 will introduce you to postures common in a CorePower Yoga 2 class. You will move at a pace designed to build internal heat, engage and build core strength while you focus on alignment and breath.
CorePower Yoga 2 – Heated Power Yoga (C2)
CorePower Yoga 2 (C2) is a rigorous yoga class with demanding strength postures that will have you moving, breathing and sweating! True to its name, a C2 class focuses on building and enaging your core strength to support you in more advanced postures. Set to energizing music in a heated, climate-controlled room, CorePower Yoga 2 strengthens, balances, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind.
Hot Yoga
CorePower Yoga’s Hot Yoga is a series of 26 postures performed in a precise order, set to music, in a room heated to approximately 105 degrees. This class systematically works the entire body, toning your muscles, promoting weight loss, reducing stress, and increasing your overall vitality. Incorporating strength, balance, and flexibility, CorePower Yoga Hot Yoga teaches students how each pose stimulates the mind and restores and shapes the body.
Hot Power Fusion
Hot Power Fusion (HPF) blends powerful elements of CorePower Yoga’s Hot Yoga and Power Yoga classes. It encompasses the meditative and detoxifying qualities of Hot Yoga with the intensity of Power Yoga. Practiced in a heated, climate-controlled environment, this class focuses on opening the shoulders, hips and spine as well as strengthening core and upper body. Set to music, this class is energizing and fun and appeals to anyone who appreciates a healthy sweat.
Yoga Sculpt – Heated Power Yoga with Weights
A total body workout, CorePower Yoga Sculpt classes are set to energizing music and designed to tone and sculpt every major muscle group. This class complements your regular yoga practice while boosting your metabolism and pushing your strength and flexibility to new heights. Free weights are added to the CorePower Yoga 2 (C2) sequence, creating resistance and intensifying each pose. Strength-training exercises such as squats, lunges, bicep and tricep curls are incorporated to build lean muscle mass. You will see visible results in your body.
CorePower has locations all over the cities. I find myself mostly at the Eden Prairie and Minnetonka studios – that’s where my fave instructors are. Oh, and your first week is FREE. An entire week, not just one class! No excuses. And, the best time to try CPY is in the winter – the heat feels SO good.
Get your schedule here.
Bring water, a towel and a mat (they rent them out if you don’t have your own). I hope to see you on your mat soon!
xoxo,
Jeanna

Corepower is my favorite!!! Which is a problem living in the Brainerd Lakes area….thankfully we’ve got a studio in town that was certified by Corepower, Lakes Fit Yoga. Its a great option if people are on vacation up north!
That’s great! I will definitely tell people about it. It’s hard to take a vacation from yoga, so good to know!
